Rush's action-packed trailer, released Wednesday, provides plenty of eye candy.

In the trailer, Chris Hemsworth takes off his racesuit and goes shirtless (at :18 seconds), revealing his toned abs.

Directed by Academy Award-winning director Ron Howard, Rush is based on a true story involving Formula 1 chamption driver Niki Lauda, played by Daniel Bruhl. Eight weeks after the 1976 crash that almost claimed his life, Lauda gets behind the wheel again to challenge his rival, James Hunt, played by Hemsworth.

"[James Hunt] loved women; he loved to have a good time, to party, but a lot of that was getting in the way of what he wanted to do most of all, which was drive," Hemsworth, 29, said in an interview.

Apart from the Thor star's six-pack abs and Australian accent, the trailer shows rivalry between Bruhl and Hemsworth, fast driving, lots of fire and of course, romance and lust.

"People ask what has Rush been like and I say, from a filmmaking standpoint, it's been kind of like a cross between Apollo 13 and Backdraft," Howard told Entertainment Weekly.

Olivia Wilde, who plays character Suzy Miller (Hunt's wife), gave her own opinion about the "intense" film saying, "I don't think anyone's ever made a good racing movie like this...I mean, this is introducing people who don't know about Formula 1 to the sport in a way that will make you hooked."

The film hits theaters Sept. 27, 2013. Watch the trailer below!
