The Butterfly Effect is getting a revival from a group of producers who seem so familiar that we may have already traveled back to the early 2000s.

The barely decade-old film is getting a reboot, according to Variety. Originally released in 2004, the Ashton Kutcher (Two and a Half Men) fronted film focused on a college aged Even who travels back in time and attempts to repair his traumatic childhood. However, making these little adjustments to prior events results in drastic changes to his life's course.

Now the members behind the original production are once again teaming up with BenderSpink and FilmEngine to bring new life to the film. Writer/Director Eric Bress (The Final Destination) is penning the script while producers are Anthony Rhulen (Killing Season), Chris Bender (We're the Millers) and JC Spink (We're the Millers) are already onboard with the project for the second time, according to Variety.

There is reportedly no word on who will direct and it seems that Bress' former co-writer and co-director J. Mackeye Gruber (Kyle XY) is not attached to the project as of yet.

Whether the new iteration of The Butterfly Effect is going to mimic the storyline of the original is unclear.
