It seems like Kanye West doesn't want to move forward anytime soon as he recently filed an opposition against his estranged wife's request to be legally single because he's reportedly worried that she might do a shocking thing.

According to Radar Online, the 44-year-old rapper made a surprising move that would hinder the fast proceedings of their separation.

In early reports, the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star wanted to be legally single, so she filed a petition to a judge wanting all assets, custody, and any other issues surrounding their wealth to be tackled in the future.

It was supposed to be next month, but West opposed the idea, so he filed his response.

Per new legal documents, the musician is said to be worried that his soon-to-be ex-wife might remarry someone else and transfer their assets into separate accounts.

West filed an opposition because he wanted to keep the assets as "marital property."

In addition, the papers noted that if one of them dies, neither of them will be responsible for the debts of each other.

The "Donda" rapper also doesn't want their assets to move around from any trust they established while still in a relationship.

In conclusion, he wanted Kardashian to waive their marital privilege to determine the state of their children's custody. He also wanted all communications to be a part of the court record.

The outlet noted that if the SKIMS founder wanted to marry another man, conversations between her and the new partner would be part of the record.

It appears that Kardashian moved quickly as per the rapper's lawyers as his estranged wife's camp has rejected his request.

The latest news about their divorce proceedings comes a day after West launched an online attack against the KKW Beauty founder's boyfriend again.

Despite promising that he would stop "harassing" his estranged wife, West continued to insult Pete Davidson through his Instagram account.

According to Daily Mail UK, the rapper posted a picture of the "Saturday Night Live" star, making fun of his mental health.

"HI SKETE YOU GOT ANYMORE MENTAL HEALTH JOKES FOR ME?," the Grammy Award-winning musician captioned the post.

West has since deleted the photo from his page.
