Rosie O'Donnell issued a public apology to Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas after a hilarious awkward encounter when the comedian made a mistake during their meeting in California. So, what happened?
According to People Magazine, the 59-year-old star shared a video on TikTok, saying she embarrassed her son and his girlfriend Teresa when they had dinner in Nobu Malibu.
During their meeting, which included Fran Drescher, the group was seated next to Chopra and Jonas.

O'Donnell noted on her video that she thought the "Matrix Resurrections" actress was related to Deepak Chopra. She revealed that she opened up the topic while dining.
The comedian then recalled the embarrassing moment, saying she first approached the "Jonas Brothers" singer, admiring him for his work in "Kingdom."
She then spoke to Chopra, saying, "I know your dad," to which the actress replied, "You do? Who's my dad." O'Donnell answered author Deepak Chopra, the former "View" co-host.
The actress was quick to reply, saying, "No and Chopra is a common name."
Per the outlet, the "Isn't it Romantic" star's father, Dr. Ashok Chopra, has passed away in June 2013. "Nick Jonas, I apologize and to the Chopra wife, I apologize too," the comedian said.

Rosie O'Donnell's Apology Caused a Commotion in the Comment Section
Shortly after the video was posted on the social media platform, many fans were not happy with her response as she referred to the actress as "Someone Chopra" and "the Chopra wife."
Users pointed out that she should've googled her name first before apologizing.
"I am glad that you owned up to your mistake but I wish you had at least Googled what her name was before you made the video," one noted. (via the outlet mentioned above)

Following this, O'Donnell shared a second apology video, saying she's sorry to her and the users who thought her previous video was inappropriate.
She also clarified the comments, saying Chopra was "rude," the comedian revealed the actress wasn't rude, but the encounter was "just awkward," and she's sure that she's "sick of that."
"Priyanka is her name. Priyanka - I hope I'm pronouncing that right... Sorry, sometimes I f*** up. I did at Nobu," she concluded.
