Is Lady Gaga sourgraping with the fact that her performance in "House of Gucci" was overlooked for an Academy Award?

Despite the fact that she was not nominated for Best Actress at the 2022 Academy Awards, the 35-year-old singer-actress has been asked to be a presenter at the ceremony.

She has a variety of reasons for not being able to attend the significant function scheduled for Sunday.

The "Poker Face" singer is said to have agreed to be a presenter at the event after being widely criticized for being passed over for a nomination for "House of Gucci," a decision that resulted in only one nomination, in the category of Best Hair and Makeup.

In advance of the Academy Awards, a source close to Lady Gaga shared her opinions on the event, which will take place in less than a week.

Per the insider who spoke to Hollywood Life, there are no negative emotions present.

As a result of her experience with this year's odd award season, Lady Gaga has been further motivated to seek more film work, in the hopes of earning the Oscar nomination she lost out on this year.

In addition, the insider stated that the incident "has fueled her desire to step up on that stage again and win an Oscar in the future."

Her performance as Patrizia Reggiani in the film was recognized with Icon Awards at the Palm Springs Film Festival, which took place last year.

A SAG award and a Critics' Choice award were both nominated to Lady Gaga, however she did not get either honor.

Despite the fact that she did not receive an Oscar nomination, the blonde beauty was kind in her compliments to those who did.

Another insider stated that just because she wasn't nominated for the Best Actress award does not mean she does not desire it for herself.

Lady Gaga's career will always revolve on music and touring, but according to the insider, she can have it all - including acting roles - and is confident that she will win an Academy Award soon.

The insider stated that she will not be disappointed if she is not nominated since she recognizes that she has already achieved many of her goals and received several plaudits and awards as a result of her efforts.

As a result, Lady Gaga has accepted the post of presenter at next week's celebration and is reportedly looking forward to attending the Academy Awards in 2022.

"Gaga feels privileged to have been chosen to present, and she is looking forward to a memorable evening," the insider said.
