Will Smith stormed the stage at this year's Oscar Awards and slapped Chris Rock in the face. Now people are getting tattoos of the moment.

It became a major news story on impact- quite literally. Comedian Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's hair, and, before anyone knew what was happening, Will Smith was on the stage, slapping Rock in the face. It is a moment that no one will be able to forget for a very long time. Some people are taking extra steps to make sure that they never do.

According to an article in the New York Post, people have started getting the slap tattooed on themselves. This tattoo has been requested by many people from various tattoo artists in a multitude of locations. While many have lauded the tattoo for being childish, many have noted its iconic hilarity.

Furthermore, the various tattoo artists have done excellent work on their creations. Jon Arton, a tattoo artist from Birmingham who was requested to create such a tattoo, expressed that he found the ask amusing. He shared, "I thought, let's do it. It's hilarious...It's quite small and discreet - if it wasn't I probably wouldn't have done it." Other depictions have not been as small or discrete. Some have been outlines while others have been fully colored. Giovanni Bracciodieta, an Italian tattoo artist, posted a slap tattoo he illustrated to Instagram with the caption, "Violence is never the answer."

While these tattoos can be read as hilarious, it is important to remember that violence should not be glorified.
