Following the Oscars Slap and all other related events since, it's not exactly surprising that there's so much gossip swirling around Will Smith at the moment.

The potent combination of having all eyes on you while you're trying to play things as quiet and close to the vest as possible creates the perfect conditions for a veritable rumor storm - so keep in mind when we tell you the following things that none of this has been confirmed officially as of yet.

Number one: According to a few reports, Will Smith has checked himself into a luxury rehab facility following the slap. These reports all note The Sun as a source for these rumors, but no report from the outlet on the subject could be located at the time of this writing.

Still, according to other reports, the star is taking some time "doing a lot of soul searching and working out how he can move forward." The reports say that the actor merely wants to use the rehab's resources to help recover from stress, not from any sort of drug or alcohol addiction.

And Smith is under much stress indeed: According to a source for Us Weekly,

"He feels terrible and is trying not to panic, but seeing his roles put on ice has been a hugely bitter pill to swallow...

"His biggest fear is that he's in the process of being fully canceled, and there's nothing he can really do about it except sit back, suck up his punishment like a man and try to atone however he can."

Many studios with ongoing projects involving this year's Academy Award Winner for Best Actor have pushed pause on them until they see how this issue shakes out.

Smith has apologized for his actions at the Oscars last Sunday, when he slapped Chris Rock across the face for making a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith's alopecia, and has also resigned from the Academy.
