There has been no official word from Warner Bros. as more evidence is presented that Amber Heard abused ex-husband Johnny Depp, but some eagle-eyed fans have noticed signs that she may have been fired from her role in the Aquaman franchise.

Heard and Depp have been embroiled in a defamation lawsuit for six years now, as each claims they were abused by the other during their marriage. When the news first broke, all sympathy went to Heard, who claimed that the actor, several years her senior, was hitting and abusing her, leaving her bruised and emotionally damaged, and eventually leading to their divorce.

Her initial claims struck a major blow to Depp's distinguished career, leading him to be dropped by many films, including the Fantastic Beasts franchise, as well as the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, which he'd carried since its inception.

Since then, however, many people have come out to say that it was in fact Heard abusing Depp, not the other way around - those close to them said that she verbally berated him, hit him, screamed at him, and even once pooped in their bed.

Now, in the trial Depp has begun, suing Heard for $50 million for defamation, the testimonies have painted a picture much closer to that second one - while testimony from their marriage counselor indicated that the couple was mutually abusive to one another, even her testimony made it fairly clear that Depp was pretty much always the one on the defensive.

Other people in their lives, including Depp's sister and his childhood best friend, have testified that it's unlike him to initiate conflict, having grown up with an abusive mother himself. In addition, a former personal assistant of Heard's testified that she had been cruel and abusive to her as well.

After hearing all of this, it seems that Warner Brothers may (finally) be rethinking their commitment to keeping Amber Heard on as the main love interest in their Aquaman films.

Though no official announcements have been made yet, a fan noted that the fact that the film has been pushed back to 2023, along with the fact that Jason Momoa now follows Johnny Depp on Instagram.

That, and a slew of other follows and unfollows from Heard herself, seems to be a sign that the studio may have ended their relationship with her - and rather abruptly, too.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on this story as more news becomes available - and if our suspicions are right, there should be plenty of that coming in due time.
