Will Smith's spiritual journey has been tagged "ridiculous" as it would reportedly be useless if he does not personally apologize to Chris Rock.

One month after the infamous Oscars slap, Smith reportedly began his spiritual journey in India. Fans in the country spotted him as he arrived at a private airport in Mumbai, India.

A source confirmed to PEOPLE that the travel is for spiritual purposes and to practice meditation and yoga.

While the move would help him get over the blunder, some Hollywood sources rolled their eyes since the actor reportedly got time to leave the country without personally apologizing or reaching out to Rock first.

The insiders told Page Six that the "King Richard" actor could not make his vow to work on himself to prevent "violence to overtake reason." They explained that he would not be able to complete his spiritual journey if he would not fix his relationship with the comedian.

"Will's 'spiritual journey' to India for yoga and meditation seems cynical and ridiculous, given that he hasn't apologized personally to the one person he assaulted in front of millions. No amount of Namastes will make up for that," a source said.

For what it's worth, Will only apologized to Rock online via a statement on Instagram. At that time, he said that he reacted emotionally because of the comedian's joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's medical condition - something that Rock was reportedly unaware of.

Jada Pinkett Smith Also Starts Healing Journey

Aside from the actor, her wife also began advocating healing online.

On Instagram, the 50-year-old actress shared a graphic that says, "This is a season for healing and I'm here for it."

Since the Oscars blunder, Jada and the whole family kept a relatively low profile. Some fans and experts read her actions during the awards ceremony, saying that she triggered her husband and caused him to barge the stage and slap the confused comedian.

While Smith initially appeared to laugh at the joke, his mood changed immediately after seeing his wife roll her eyes and look displeased.

A video of her reaction also went viral, showing how she tilted forward as she laughed after Smith slapped Rock. The Academy has since addressed the issue in a statement, confirming the 10-year-ban it imposed on Smith.
