Tom Cruise and Hayley Atwell have been on-again, off-again for a few years, but it appears now they are over for good.

The couple, who began dating in 2020 after meeting on the set of their film "Mission: Impossible," allegedly split up in September 2021.

According to an insider, the relationship ended at the time, and they even had a really intense period of filming together.

However, the pair resumed their romance in early 2022.

Atwell and Cruise attended the premiere of "Top Gun: Maverick" last month.

But according to a source, she was merely there to show her support for him.

"Hayley's last-minute choice to attend the star-studded gala in London's Leicester Square demonstrates how close she and Tom have re-established following their split last year."

Per The Sun's insider, the couple has split up again again, and this time it may be the last.

"Tom and Hayley had a real bond. Contrary to popular belief, it was never only for the cameras."

Their breakup is the result of them not working out.

Despite the fact that Atwell and Cruise get along well and have amazing chemistry together, they discreetly agreed to give their relationship another shot in early 2022.

Unfortunately, their relationship did not work out behind closed doors, especially when it became public.

"There was more hoopla surrounding them when a couple erupted. "They've realized they're better off as friends," the insider claimed.

But there's no bad blood between them because, according to the source, they opted to stay friends following their breakup.

Since his public divorce from ex-wife Katie Holmes in 2012, Tom Cruise has not had a high-profile romance. Meanwhile, Hayley Atwell is said to have split from her English doctor partner in 2020.

Suri, Cruise and Holmes' daughter, is their only child.
