Netflix's Resident Evil series is swinging for the fences in the latest clip they dropped. Bloody, intense, and confusing, the production seems to be keeping the story close to the chest, while giving us a strange look into what's to come from the zombie horror series.

In the latest teaser released by the streaming giant, we are treated to a vague look into the world of the show, which thus far promises blood, gore, and everything one might expect from a Resident Evil property.

The show stars the always amazing Lance Reddick as Albert Wesker, the pharmaceutical mastermind behind the plague of zombies unleashed in the show.

In the clip, he is trying to get his girls to safety, only to drench himself in dog blood - probably to distract the hordes of monsters ready to feast on them.

According to the Netflix synopsis:

"Year 2036 - 14 years after Joy caused so much pain, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and mind-shattering creatures.

"In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father's chilling connections to the sinister Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie."

Hopefully, the new series will actually do justice to the game, which got lost in translation with the mess Paul W.S. Anderson slapped together in his overstuffed five-movie series starirng his wife Mila Jovovich.
