It is rumored that Angelina Jolie's legal team was eager to issue a subpoena to Brad Pitt, who was previously her husband.

This is in connection to the litigationthat have been filed against them about their winery company in France, Chateau Miraval, according to Page Six.

It has been claimed that the legal team representing the actress from "Maleficent" posted process servers at some of Hollywood's most exclusive gatherings for A-list celebrities in the hopes of catching him off guard.

The information was disclosed by the site that a man was dispatched to face the "Ad Astra" star at the 2022 SAG Awards with the documents back in February.

According to those with knowledge of the situation, they most likely would have tried again at the Oscars; however, Pitt's legal team decided to drop the quest prior to the event taking place.

Servers had reportedly been having a difficult time trying to deliver Pitt the legal documents, which resulted in it becoming a legal necessity for someone to reply to a court. Even though he wasn't up for any nominations this year, the servers apparently hoped that he would attend the SAG Awards in the capacity as a prior winner for the category of "Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role" in the 2020.

He did not, which was really unfortunate for the servers and of course, Jolie's lawyers.

On the other hand, it appears as though it may be a clever strategy at this time. Olivia Wilde was also served with court paperworkin connection with the custody fight she is now engaged in with her former partner, Jason Sudeikis, a few months ago. Wilde was in the middle of delivering a speech at a Comic-Con event when she received the beverage.

The attorneys for Angelina Jolie attempted to serve a subpoena on her exe-husband Brad Pitt in order to compel him to produce the documents and communications relating to the Chateau Miraval vineyard.

The 47-year-old star recently shared her shares with a subsidiary of the liquor producer, Stoli. Then, Pitt asserted that his ex-wife did not have the legal right to sell her shares without first giving him the opportunity to purchase them, and now the two of them are arguing over whether or not she has the legal right to demand the papers that she has requested.

A judge ordered the previous weekthat the actor from "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" and his business partners are required to turn over the information about the business, but his camp is granted the opportunity to appeal the decision.
