Meghan Markle and Prince Harry raised eyebrows after they dropped the Impact Report for the Archewell Foundation due to its timing.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a one-minute clip showcasing their charity works for Archewell from 2022 to 2023. While many were pleased with the move, some questioned the timing because it was released just hours after Kate Middleton dropped a family video for her Baby Bank initiative.

The Princess of Wales was joined by her three children, Prince George, 10; Princess Charlotte, 8; and Prince Louis, 5, who volunteered to sort out clothes, toys and essential goods for children and families in need at the Baby Bank in Maidenhead, Berkshire. The royal children were instructed to pack gifts for kids their age and choose the items they would like to play with. Several praised Middleton and her kids for their work.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle's video showed them reuniting with the veterans and hugging some volunteers who supported their charity. It highlighted the progress the Archewell Foundation made in the past months.

Several netizens slammed the Sussexes for allegedly trying to steal the limelight from the Princess of Wales. One even claimed they were jealous of Middleton, who received praise for her recent charity work.

"Aww ... is she jealous of a Princess & the REAL Royal children?

"Meh-gan releases slick video that shows Duchess hugging veterans & taking selfies to highlight the impact of A**eSwell -- hours after Kate's film with George, Charlotte & Louis at a baby bank," one wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

"The video was 2 fold: 1) steal the limelight 2) try and divert from the terrible financial Archewell report. There was nothing new or inspiring about the video imho," another added.

"As if we didn't know this would happen.....as soon as there's a headline with the PoWales.....there got to be an 'announcement' from the USA....from the ones that want privacy," another user who seemingly anticipated the move from the Sussexes said. A different user added, "You can bet anytime Catherine does something in public, she does something to be seen seriously, she still believes she has a greater voice."

Meanwhile, the Sussex supporters praised Prince Harry and Markle for continuing their charity work. Several also thanked the royal couple for being an inspiration.

"So proud of Harry&Meghan and Team Archewell for [achieving a lot] in 2023! Making [an] Impact, Inspiring and building better communities [across] the globe! Looking forward to more of their work in 2024!" a fan tweeted. Another wrote, "Show Up, Do Good. Harry, Meghan, and Archewell continue to be inspiring."

"[A]rchewell family. [T]hank you for doing this incredible work with [H]arry and [M]eghan, supporting them everyday. [T]his is a team," another wrote.

"Harry & Meghan are minding their own business, working hard with Archewell & other gigs, keeping hydrated & moisturized while maintaining their home life. H&M don't speak on #ThatFamily in so the BRF/BM better cope & get on with it! No leaks in Montecito," another supporter opined.

Royal expert Emily Andrews joined TV presenter Vanessa Feltz on TalkTV and discussed the timing of the Sussexes' video. According to her, there was nothing wrong with Prince Harry and Markle's clip. But she acknowledged that the timing was somewhat not the usual because "this video is normally released in January."
