A U.K. bakery is selling a massive 24-layer chocolate cake inspired by the movie "Matilda."

Get Baked's "Bruce" cake weighs 10 kilograms (22 pounds) and features 24 layers of sponge cake and icing, according to a TikTok video shared by the bakery.

The clip revealed that Get Baked's huge "Bruce" cakes are made by alternating dark chocolate sponge and dark chocolate ganache.

In the video, a Get Baked employee can be seen using a knife to slice a finished "Bruce" cake and showing off its 24 layers before packing it in a box for a customer.

On the bakery's website, both the original "Bruce" and "Golden Bruce" cakes are currently marked as sold out.

"Golden Bruce" also has 24 layers, but it is made of dark chocolate cake, caramelized white chocolate ganache and dark chocolate ganache.

A hefty slice of the 24-layer original "Bruce" cake commands a price of $19, while the "Golden Bruce" version comes in at $22.

The cake appears to be inspired by the classic film "Matilda," which follows a bright young child (played by Mara Wilson) with telekinetic powers as she takes on the school and her horrible headmistress, Ms. Trunchbull (Pam Ferris).

In the movie, Matilda's schoolmate Bruce Bogtrotter (Jimmy Karz) is forced to devour an enormous chocolate cake that Ms. Trunchbull had the Cook make for him.

The scene includes Matilda, Lavender (Kiami Davael) and other children in the crowd expressing concern for Bruce and the possibility of the cake being poisoned.

The cake scene is also featured in the newer "Matilda the Musical."

Meanwhile, this isn't the first time Get Baked has made headlines.

In 2021, its "huge, succulent and rich" chocolate cake went viral, prompting the bakery to adjust the price of a slice from £7 ($8.89) to £9 ($11.43).

Explaining the rationale behind the price increase, Get Baked said in a statement obtained by Leeds Live that it only uses high-quality ingredients such as expensive chocolate, locally laid eggs, proper butter, cream from a local farm and locally milled flour for its cakes.

In its statement, the bakery noted that the original price was "just not enough for the requirements that are involved for his conception."

"After having the conversation with a lot of our regulars, they feel comfortable that the decision is a fair one," Get Baked said at the time. "If you think it's too expensive, just don't buy him!"
