BTS member V, who is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service in South Korea, reportedly earned himself a new nickname at the training camp.

According to Insight Korea, a netizen shared a scoop about the "Layover" artist from a friend who reportedly works as a nutritionist at the military training camp.

Per the nutritionist, V -- real name Kim Taehyung -- is always up for an extra meal at the camp. If anyone would ask if one wants another meal, he's reportedly the first to raise his hand.

Because of this, V reportedly earned the nickname "the trainee who eats well."

Many BTS fans -- called ARMY -- were thrilled to hear the scoop and expressed their reactions on social media.

"Thank you for sharing this news. I'm so happy that Taehyung is eating well," tweeted one fan, while a second user wrote, "Cutie! He's going to come out even cooler. Thank you for the news."

"That's a relief. He is eating well," commented a third fan.

"Tae did say he wants to gain weight in the military and bulk up. Good for him," tweeted someone else.

During a previous Weverse live broadcast, alongside his bandmates RM, Jimin and Jungkook, V shared that he wanted to gain weight.

The 27-year-old idol shared that he thought of bulking up to 86kg from his 62kg weight.

The BTS member also shared that he would build up his stamina so that he wouldn't get tired even after performing for 15 consecutive concerts in the future.

Taehyung enlisted in the military last Dec. 11 with the group's leader, RM. He is scheduled to finish his mandatory military service in June 2025.

In other news, the BTS member, who is turning 28 on Saturday, was recently revealed as Compose Coffee's new model.

News1 reported last Dec. 20 that the South Korean coffee brand selected V as its new model and signed a model contract with him to increase its brand awareness locally and abroad.

Before signing him, the company reportedly obtained consent from its franchise owners regarding its selection of V as its model, and the majority responded positively.

Compose Coffee stores will reportedly replace their signature cup holders with V-themed cup holders ahead of the idol's 28th birthday.

Meanwhile, TV commercials filmed by V ahead of his enlistment will be released in January.
