Kelly Clarkson has revealed her secret to her effective weight loss, indirectly quashing the speculations that she used the drug Ozempic to achieve her slimmed-down figure.

In her cover story with People, the American singer-songwriter explained how she dropped the weight and shared that she has been listening to her doctor's advice about her diet.

"I eat a healthy mix. I dropped weight because I've been listening to my doctor -- a couple of years, I didn't," she shared.

"Ninety percent of the time, I'm really good at it because a protein diet is good for me anyway. I'm a Texas girl, so I like meat -- sorry, vegetarians in the world!"

Aside from listening to her doctor's advice on eating healthy, the singer also credits walking in the city and going to infrared saunas for helping her lose weight.

In November last year, the singer took to Instagram to share a photo of her eating ice cream, and several netizens praised her physique and even asked her how she lost weight.

"You look beautiful. How did you lose weight, Kelly? I need to lose some, too," one user commented.

Another wrote, "Can you please tell us your secret to losing weight? You look wonderful. Online has you saying all these crazy diets I know aren't true. Please advise."

Meanwhile, some accused her of using medication or drugs to lose weight.

One comment read, "No way she lost that much weight that fast. Medication," while someone else wrote, "Ozempic looks good on you!"

Before this, the "Since U Been Gone" singer appeared on the red carpet for Audacy's 10th Annual "We Can Survive" concert in Newark, New Jersey, on October 14, 2023.

She appeared at the event wearing a wrap dress that accentuated her tiny waist, making fans wonder how she lost weight quickly.

At the time, a source cleared the speculations that Kelly used a diet drug for weight loss, per Life & Style magazine.

"She's limited her sugar and carb intake. She's cut out soda, chips, biscuits, cheese and tortillas. And she's added exercise, mostly cardio, into her weekly routine. She's lost about 40 pounds. She feels amazing," the source revealed.
