Demi Lovato was the headliner at the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection concert on Wednesday, but the crowd was less than pleased with her song choices.

The 31-year-old sang some of her biggest hits, including her 2013 hit "Heart Attack" that seemed to leave the crowd scratching their heads.

"She was belting 'Heart Attack' in front of the 'Class of 2024,' who were all survivors of heart attacks," a source told 'Us Weekly.'

"There was a video package played before the fashion show and concert where the women all shared their brushes with death via heart attack, how they were all saved during a heart attack — one has a pacemaker for the rest of her life," an insider alleged. "Demi was smiling the entire performance, and it was really tone-deaf."

However, Lovato defended her song choices, opening her performance by speaking on a "mind-heart" connection.

The former 'X Factor' judge was reportedly heard saying, "This song has many parallels for me, my journey, and a reminder for all of us in the room just how strong the mind-heart-body connection truly is."

According to 'Entertainment Weekly,' Lovato's representatives also defended the performance, describing her transparency as a "beautiful moment."

The singer has experienced her own share of health scares in the past. She overdosed in 2018 after ingesting drugs laced with Fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid 100 times stronger than morphine.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), even at a deadly amount, you wouldn't be able to see, taste, or smell the drug.

"I snapped. I had three strokes...I had a heart attack," she said in her documentary 'Dancing With the Devil.' "My doctors said that I had five to 10 more minutes [to live]."

Lovato has since healed and is now engaged to Jordan Lutes after making their relationship public just over a year ago.

"I'm still speechless," she captioned a heartfelt Instagram post in December. "Last night was the best night of my life and I can't believe I get to marry the love of my life."
