Some passengers onboard the Aer Lingus flight from London to Dublin reportedly saw Hollywood A-lister Will Ferrell on the same flight.

On Tuesday, X user @EmmaQuinlan, tweeted, "On my London to Dublin @AerLingus flight this evening. I was beside Will Ferrell... in a s**t unreserved seat. There we go."

"I chatted [with] him briefly on the way out as I'd worked with him on previous occasions here (about six and 16 years ago, respectively). I just couldn't get my head round the seat but imagine his inbound was delayed," she wrote in a follow-up tweet.

While some netizens doubted the uploader's story and asked for photo evidence, other people who were reportedly on the same flight backed up her claims.

"I was on the flight in the same row. Ferrell was the row behind the middle seat," commented one netizen.

"I think his parents sat in the front row but you cannot book the middle seat there, and assume [the] rest had already been booked. Very difficult for him to stay inconspicuous though," said another.

"I can confirm this as [I] was on [the] same flight," wrote someone else.

"He is going to the Europa Final in Dublin. Heard him saying a month or so that he had tickets hoping to see Liverpool in the final," claimed a different commenter.

Per the first netizen to tweet about it and the others who were reportedly on the same flight, the "Elf" star was in the middle of two fellow passengers during the short-haul flight.

According to Aer Lingus, the total flight time from London Heathrow to Dublin is 1 hour and 25 minutes.

Earlier in May, it was reported that the 56-year-old Hollywood star was planning a trip to Wembley Stadium if Leeds United -- where he is a minority investor -- reached the Championship play-off final.

Other high-profile minority stakeholders in the Championship club include actor Russell Crowe, swimmer Michael Phelps and golf champion Jordan Spieth, according to The Athletic.
