Scarlett Johansson has expressed her love for New York City by revealing a new tattoo with the words "I (Heart) NY."

The new tattoo is located on her wrist and resembles a charm bracelet. She showed off the new ink while traveling to promote her new upcoming superhero movie, "The Avengers."

Johansson's love for New York will not come as a surprise to fans; the actress was born in Manhattan, and currently lives in the city.

It will also probably not come as a surprise to her fans that she has chosen to get a new tattoo; her love for tattoos has also been well documented. Johansson has previously had a tattoo of interlinked circles with the initial A written on the inside of her right ankle.

However, that is not Johansson's only tattoo; she has a sunrise image tattooed across her left forearm, which she had done in 2007. She has previously said of the colorful sunrise tattoo: "I've had the tattoo of a sunrise on my arm for a while.  It makes me happy when I look at it, but the reason I had it done is very personal. Some things have to remain private."

But seeing as her love for New York City is so well documented her latest tattoo probably needs no further explanation.
