In most recent updates about the Electric Zoo Festival, it has been reported that 31 people were arrested for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old, and new details have surfaced about the drug-related deaths that caused the cancellation of the last day.

The last day (Sept. 1) of the festival, which was being held on Randall's Island, had been cancelled by authorities after two people died and four others were hospitalized due to a suspected MDMA-overdose (widely known as "ecstasy."} Olivia Rotondo, 20, a University of New Hampshire junior from North Providence, RI, and Jeffery Russ, 23, a Syracuse University graduate from Rochester, died after consuming an excessive amount of Molly, a more concentrated form of MDMA.

It has now been revealed that Rotunda, had taken over six hits of ecstasy, in a report by the Post. "I just took six hits of Molly,'' the 20-year-old had said to an EMS worker on Saturday, Aug. 31, before suddenly collapsing in a seizure and dying.

Hours before her death, Rotondo had tweeted about attending the fifth installment of the annual electronic music festival: "The amount of traveling I've done today is unreal. Just get me to the damn zoo." 

In related news, 31 people, who were attending the festival, have been arrested for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old at the festival, according to A Walk in the ParkThe teen woke up on Friday under a van in a parking lot with her pants undone and bruises and scratches on her legs, according to several city sources. She was taken to Cornell Medical Hospital where medical personnel confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted.
