The cast of the 17th season of Dancing With The Stars was announced on Good Morning America on Wednesday.

ABC cast an eclectic mix that caters to a younger and older audience and different genres. Reality star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi joins Bill Nye The Science Guy, former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson and actress Valerie Harper.

Other contestants on the new season are Pretty Little Liars actor Brant Daugherty; singer-actress Christina Milian; Saved By The Bell actress Elizabeth Berkley; High School Musical actor Corbin Bleu; Glee actress Amber Riley; country comic Bill Engvall; and King of Queens actress Leah Remini.

Snooki told GMA she feels confident about entering the competition because she has been trained to compete.

"I did eight years of gymnastics, six years of dancing so....," she told GMA anchor Robin Roberts.

Harper being added to the cast was a shock for many fans. She announced earlier this year that she was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. She said she has seen signs of improvement in the past month due to treatment. She will limit her rehearsals and participation.

ABC also announced that the show will air only on Mondays instead of Mondays and Tuesdays.
