Liam Hemsworth has yet to publicly comment on Miley Cyrus' music video for Wrecking Ball, but sources said he is supportive of his fiancée and has not said so to the press merely because he wants to keep their relationship private.

Previous reports cited sources that said the Hunger Games: Catching Fire actor was "mortified" by Cyrus' behavior at the 2013 Video Music Awards - in which she grinded on Robin Thicke and twerked on stage while barely clothed. However, different insiders told Hollywood Life recently that Hemsworth's silence about Cyrus' antics has nothing to do with him disapproving the way she acts.

"He is very proud that she is doing the thing that she loves and he supports her, he just doesn't broadcast it with a parade for the whole world to see," a source told HollywoodLife. "He likes being private with her and their relationship, whereas she doesn't. But you know what they say - opposites attract!"

The insider added that Hemsworth is not bothered by Cyrus' scenes in her latest music video, where she is naked on a swinging wrecking ball and also makes out with a sledgehammer.

"He can't really control what she does and this video is another way he's letting her do what she wants to do because it's not affecting him or his career - it is all on Miley," the source said.

Cyrus is currently in the United Kingdom promoting her new album Bangerz, due out in October. She had a wardrobe malfunction outside of a Paris radio station on Monday, the same day she premiered the video for Wrecking Ball. Hemsworth was spotted out with friends in Los Angeles earlier this week after returning from the Toronto International Film Festival where he supported his brother's new film, Rush.
