Jessica Simpson has finally given birth to a baby girl this morning! The excited arrival of her new baby was announced on her website. Maxwell Drew Johnson weighed 9lbs. 13 ounces at birth. Simpson wrote in a statement: "We are so grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!"

Simpson's family members were spotted arriving at a hospital in Los Angeles today. According to DailyMail, Simpson's sister Ashlee, mother Tina, and Eric Johnson's parents were seen at the hospital with excited faces. 

Jessica was spotted out and about on Sunday - still looking very pregnant. As of yesterday, she was 10 days overdue from her expected due date April 20. 

Family and friends have been tweeting their concern for Simpson, with Katy Perry tweeting: "Has Jessica Simpson had that baby yet?! I'm getting anxious." Another celebrity, Chelsea Handler also tweeted: "How has jessica simpson still not given birth to this baby? I'm getting frightened." Her father Joe also recently tweeted: "Still counting down the days til I am a grandpa again. Keep Jess in your prayers."

Simpson shared a video of her baby shower. which shows Simpson and Johnson opening gifts together.
