The official trailer for Grace of Monaco, the Grace Kelly biopic starring Nicole Kidman in the lead role, was released on Sept. 16.

The Olivier Dahan-directed film is set in the early Sixties when Kelly was married to Monaco's Prince Rainier III (played by Tim Roth) and the principality was under the threat of a French military invasion led by Charles De Gaulle. The American-French biography of Kelly deals with issues of marriage and identity as she made her shift from as Oscar-winning actress to a European princess.

The trailer offers glimpses of Kidman as Kelly, surrounded by the opulence of royalty, wearing satin gowns and diamond tiaras. The character is introduced -- Kidman doesn't speak in the trailer -- by a voice-over that glorifies Kelly's role as the Princess of Monaco:

"Long after the house of Grimaldi has fallen the world is going to remember your name, your highness. You are the fairytale, the serenity to which we all aspire, and peace will come when you embrace the roles you have been destined to play. For no matter where you are, in the years to come, they will continue to whisper your name, the princess Grace"

The film also stars Frank Langella, Derek Jacobi, Paz Vega, Parker Posey, and Milo Ventimiglia. It is being produced by Pierre-Ange Le Pogam's Stone Angels.

The film releases in the U.S. on Nov. 27 via Weinstein Company. Warner Bros. will release it in the United Kingdom on Nov. 29.
