With the release of Chris Brown's sixth studio album approaching, the singer sat down with AXS TV's Skee Live on Wednesday to talk about the upcoming record as well as his love for painting.

The 24-year-old explained that the album's title, X, derived from the fact that he's been working in the industry for 10 years, since the age of 14. He also revealed that he intends to make it a dual record but is still waiting for clearance from his label.

"On the album you'll get 10 songs, but hopefully it's two in each one, so it's really 20 songs," he said. "I try to give my fans a lot."

"He actually wrote from the mindset of a critic, if a critic was sitting there talking to me, and then he's coaching me through it," said Brown, who shot part of the video in Hawaii. "It's amazing how lyrical he is and how he can put it together and paint a picture just by rapping."

Aside from his music, Brown spoke about painting, a hobby he picked up about four years ago to deal with his emotions. His art is also a jab towards his critics.

"It took a while for me to find my different style because I don't want my art to look like somebody else's or imitate it. It's just free expression, I just paint cause it's great stress reliever and it's fun and it amazes people," he said. "It's a reflection of the negativity that has ever been put on me."

X will be released sometime in November.
