Mark Wahlberg revealed that his kids will make a special appearance in Transformers: The Age of Extinction, in a recent interview with Slash Film

Walhlberg spoke about the nature of the cameo to the publication and how his kids were slightly miffed at their controlling dad.

"My kids just did a cameo, just scared people in the street looking up, but they did a great job. I was so nervous because Michael [Bay] doesn't have time for bad performances. You have to understand; you're shooting a $300 million movie. You've got a lot going on. He's got five, six takes. If you ain't got it, you're done. I didn't want to see my kids get clipped. They were excited about, but they started to get mad at me because I'm trying to over-direct them. It went great," he said.

He also went on to speak about how Bay did him a bit of a favor by investing some extra time and energy to accomodate his children in the scene: "For him to take the time to set up the specific shot that he actually really wants to put in the movie for my kids. I don't like asking for those kinds of things. I was going to send him a text, but I just wanted to wait and thank him in person. I gave him a big hug yesterday."

Jack Reynor is the male lead of the film and will be playing a race car driver. His co-star Nicola Peltz will play Reynor's girlfriend in the film, and Wahlberg will portray Flynn Vincent, Peltz's dad.

Kelsey Grammer was the most recent addition to the cast. He will be playing the role of Harold Attinger, a counter-intelligence agent, who is the main antagonist in the film. Earlier this month, Grammer spoke about his character to Empire magazine.

"He's a no-nonsense guy. He's lived his life in the shadows for 30 years in the service of his country, and he likes to be unremarkable yet very efficient." he said.

ComicBookMovie.com also revealed some details about other characters in the upcoming installment of the science-action film franchise. Sophia Myles has also been cast in a prominent role as a scientist in the film. Peter Cullen and Glenn Morshower will be reprising their roles, as the voice of Optimus Prime, and General Morshower, respectively.

Michael Bay is directing and the screenplay for the film is written by Ehren Kruger. The film is being shot at various location in China and the U.S.

The movie also stars Stanley Tucci, Li Bingbing, T.J. Miller, and Titus Welliver.

The film will release on Jun. 27 2014.
