Rihanna was booed by the audience for showing up 80 minutes late for her concert at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Perth, Australia on Sept. 24.

The 25-year-old singer was due on stage at 9 p.m., but kept the audience waiting for a whole 80 minutes. When the lights were dimmed to usher her entrance, instead of cheering, the fans started to boo.

"Adelaide what the f***...I'm finally here...and I now remember how crazy my Australian fans are," Rihanna responded to the booing.

"It takes me forever to get back to Australia every time," she added.

While they were waiting audience members also spread their discontent on the social media. The Twittersphere was rife with Rihanna bashing:

"@rihanna thanks for a disappointing show last night..as if#Adelaide doesnt suck enough already #igotdressedforthat #late" - Tessa Moritz (@TBomb_Moritz)

"Well done@Rihanna. You achieved the impossible and managed to make #Adelaide look punctual." - Katherine Nicholson

"I have done a better performance to a Rihanna song on the dance floor at @TheMarsBarAdel #Rihanna #Adelaide" - Thommy Trash

Even the media seems to have been a bit harsh on the singer, in a review of the concert, The Sydney Morning Herald negatively described Rihanna's performance: "crotch-grabbing, apparent slurring and disinterest in singing marked the Perth leg of Rihanna's Australian tour."

This concert was part of Rihanna's Diamonds tour, which hasn't had a smooth run. Her concert in Boston had to be canceled, which was the second date on the tour, as was her gig in Baltimore. The singer had to cancel both Boston and Baltimore because she was sick, reportedly suffering from laryngitis. Live Nation, which is producing the show, was also forced to reschedule the dates in Dallas and Houston.
