Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may not be in the process of making her comeback film after all.

According to The International Business Times, Rai's husband, Abhishek Bachchan, spoke out about the rumors that the two would co-star together in Prahlad Kakkar's new film, Happy Anniversary.

"We have not read the script...nothing has been finalized," the 37-year-old actor said.

Aishwarya's spokesperson confirmed the report, saying that the decision has not been made yet.

"Prahlad's script is among the many scripts she has given her nod to. But it is very preliminary for the producer to jump the gun and announce it as her comeback film," the spokesperson said.

Producer Gaurang Doshi previously announced that the film would be Aishwarya's comeback after taking a leave from acting when she gave birth to her daughter, Aradhya.

The film's director, Prahlad Kakkar, reportedly saying he would love to have the couple star in the film, but that nothing had been confirmed.

"They agreed on principle to do the film, if they liked the script," Kakkar said. "We gave them a brief about the film, but we've not signed any contracts or discussed any details. Reports like these spoil relationships. The actors hear a lot of scripts; ours was just one of many."

According to The Indian Express however, fans of the actress can see her star opposite her husband somewhere else. The couple signed on as brand ambassadors for kitchen appliances manufacturer TTK Prestige. Prestige is re-introducing a line starring the celebrity couple in a print and digital campaign featuring six new TV commercials.
