The Voice 2012 Result Show Final - Who Will Be Crowned the Winner?
The Voice 2012 Results: Winner is Jermaine Paul
Hit TV show "The Voice" is set to crown its season champion Tuesday night in a two-hour special that will feature a number of guest stars.
Monday saw the finalists, Tony Lucca of Team Adam, Chris Mann of Team Christina, Jermaine Paul of Team Blake, and Juliet Simms of Team Cee Lo, offer their final performances. They will now each have the chance to give a solo and then sing a duet with their coaches.
The winner of the series will receive a recording contract with Universal Republic Records and $100,000 cash prize.
Chris Mann has reportedly said that he plans to perform the same song he sang in the auditions for the show: "The whole point of me auditioning for the show was so that I could maybe get on Christina's team, and if I happened to be the last man standing, I could sing this one song with her."
Meanwhile, Simms has reported that she will sing a solo effort to satisfy fan requests, and Lucca has refused to give an indication what he has up his sleeve. Paul, who has previously sung as a backup vocalist for Alicia Keys and Mary J Blige, has said his final performance will "bring it on home."
Also on Tuesday night's finale will be special guests Justin Bieber, Flo Rida, Daryl Hall and John Oates (Hall and Oates), and Lady Antebellum.
The Voice has proven a great success in the ratings war over the past few months, and has been a strong match for long-time singing talent show American Idol. Idol has averaged 19.2 million this season so far, where as The Voice has managed just under 15 million with 14.8m.
