Avengers star Chris Hemsworth is a delighted father after his wife Elsa Pataky gave birth to a baby girl in London yesterday. According, to Us Weekly, the parents have named their daughter India. Pataky, a Spanish actress, married Hemsworth in 2010 after three months of dating.

Pataky, 35, told ¡Hola! magazine about her marriage to Hemsworth. "Having the person that you love by your side, and starting a family with them, is the best thing that can happen to you in this life. You can't ask for more."

She added that they only wish for their child to be healthy, whether its a girl or a boy. It seems she is set on raising her daughter to be bilingual as she says, "I'm only going to speak to the baby in Spanish. I already told my husband, 'Get ready fast with Spanish because, if not, you're not going to be able to understand what we say.'"

Hemsworth, 28, appeared at the UK premiere of The Avengers last month with his wife, and was proudly rubbing his wife's bulging bump.

Hemsworth brothers are Liam and Luke, who are both actors.

Analysts are saying that his latest movie, The Avengers, may reach a staggering $1 billion this week. The movie has already grossed over $800 million worldwide, with $300 million of it being domestic.
