'Star Wars' Episode 7 Release Date Revealed By Disney

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The Walt Disney Co will bring the next movie in the Star Wars franchise to theaters on Dec. 18, 2015, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

Disney purchased Star Wars producer Lucas film in 2012 and promised at least three more films in the series, which ranks as one of the biggest movie franchises of all time.
