Joseph Palmarchuk, Lottery Winner Gets 2nd $1 Million Jackpot But Michigan Man Isn't Luckiest Man in the World [VIDEO]
Joseph Palmarchuk is a lucky guy, but he still isn't the luckiest.
Palmarchuk, who lives in Michigan, won a $1.35 million jackpot on Nov. 6 playing Michigan's Classic Lotto 47 game. This is the second time he has won a jackpot this large, having previously won a $1 million lottery game in Tennessee a few years back, The Huffington Post reported.
Despite his reign of good fortune, Palmarchuk is still not the record-holder for jackpot wins. That record belongs to Richard Lustig, who has won seven jackpots since 1992 and wrote a book in 2010 about his record number of wins titled Learn How to Increase Your Chances of Winning the Lottery.
Lustig, from Orlando Fla., said luck has nothing to do with his continued success at winning. He added there are several secrets that lottery players can use to also win as often as he has in the past. His tips included picking their own numbers, researching to see if the numbers have won before, selecting a specific set of numbers to continue trying and buying as many tickets as they can afford.
Lustig's various wins have included amounts ranging from $10,000 to an $824,000 grand prize, according to The Herald-Sun. He has used the winnings to pay off bills and debts and has purchased luxury cars and taken his family on overseas holidays.
Palmarchuk hasn't revealed any special tips on how he has won. He said he plans to use his recent winnings to purchase a condominium for him and his wife Phillis somewhere warm to escape Michigan's harsh winters.
