Katharine McPhee has reportedly ended her relationship with Smash director Michael Morris, whom she was spotted kissing while both stars were married to other people.

"Katharine is no longer seeing Michael -- at least for now," a source told People.  

McPhee has been married to producer Nick Cokas since 2009 and Morris wed Welcome to the Family star Mary McCormack in 2003. The director and Smash star made headlines after they were caught kissing on Tuesday, Oct. 22. It was later reported that McPhee and Cokas were separated for more than six months prior to her public display of emotion with Morris.

"Katharine still has plans to move forward with divorce at the moment, though they are not living together," the insider said. This is an incredibly hard time for Katharine."

A second source didn't reveal the current state of Morris and McCormack's marriage, but said the actress is focusing on her daughters: 9-year-old Margaret, 6-year-old Rose and Lillian, 2.

"Mary is a strong woman. Her dedication to her children will remain her focus and gift," the insider said.

While McPhee has stayed silent on the affair, two sources told Us Weekly she was mortified pictures went public of her kissing Morris. One insider claimed, "She is SO embarrassed she was caught. She should have known better!"

Another added, "[Mary] is so cool and the nicest person. It's so sad that this happened to her. She's truly great."

Another insider revealed that McPhee and Cokas were having marital issues and that McPhee "has had friends living with her for months."
