A New Jersey Waitress is making headlines after she was stiffed on a tip by a family claiming they "didn't approve of her lifestyle."

Dayna Morales, a former U.S. Marine who happens to be a lesbian, found a note scrawled onto a $93.55 receipt she left for a family at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater N.J. instead of a tip Daily Mail reported.

"I'm sorry, But I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle & how you live your life," the receipt read, which Morales has since submitted to LGBQT organization Have a Gay Day, who later posted it on their Facebook Page.

Morales said she was extremely hurt and insulted by the family's actions, specifically the mother, who began judging her from the moment Morales walked up to serve the customers. Morales claimed the woman made comments about her short hair and said she thought Morales was a young man.

"Never in a million years did I think this would happen," Morales told to Have a Gay Day. "I am THOROUGHLY offended, mad, p***ed off and hurt that THIS is what her kids will grow up learning and that I served in the Marines to keep ignorant people like them free."

After the receipt was posted on Facebook, outraged social media users agreed with Morales and called the woman who refused to tip an "ignorant, stupid person."

"That's insane. People like that should stay at home and keep their views behind closed doors," Jihan Gary commented on the photo.

"There is no EXCUSE for people like that. I too feel sorry for the kids. This is how prejudice starts...children learn it from the parents. Sorry you had to go through this," Sandy Crooks wrote.

"Ignorance & Stupidity at its best," Edward Vasquez wrote.

The Facebook photo has also prompted action on behalf of Morales: as at least one commenter has set up an online account to collect money for the waitress

"Hey lets all paypal Dayna $1 each which would equal the tip Dayna deserved. Send $1 payments to dayna.morales@gmail.com," Brittany Stilgenbauer wrote.
