On the upcoming fourth season of Game of Thrones, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) will have an important storyline as she attempts to flee King's Landing.

Assuming the Game of Thrones writers faithfully adapt George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novels on which the series is based, Sansa will make her big escape in season 4.

The series will be adapting the second half of A Storm of Swords (book 3), in which the "Purple Wedding" occurs, allowing Sansa to escape amid the chaos. Sansa enlists in one of her friends and allies to help her escape. Her ally leads her to Littlefinger (Aiden Gillen), who has a secret ship docked for her. Sansa manages to flee King's Landing on the ship with Littlefinger without detection.

Littlefinger brings Sansa to the Vale, where Littlefinger is to marry Lysa Arryn (Kate Dickie) per Tywin's (Charles Dance) orders. Littlefinger gives Sansa a new name Alayne Stone in order to protect her identity.

It is soon revealed that Littlefinger has been harboring a secret crush on Sansa and he tries to kiss her. Lysa witnesses the entire incident and is predictably furious with him. Lysa then grabs Sansa and tries to drop her from the sky door before Littlefinger stops her and saves Sansa. Littlefinger then pushes Lysa out the door in the name of his one true love: Catelyn Stark. Lysa plummets to her death and Littlefinger is able to frame the murder on a witness.

Sansa will experience plenty of action in Game of Thrones season 4 as she is made witness to more atrocities and under the protection of another horrible man.
