Although Dakota Johnson may be attached to don the role of the shy, naughty college graduate, Anastasia Steele, in the movie version of E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey, rumors are surfacing that her father, Don Johnson, isn't exactly thrilled with the idea.

"Don has gotten more conservative as he's gotten older. Dakota's mom, Melanie Griffith told him he's being a stick in the mud, but Don is a father and he doesn't want to see his daughter used as a sex object, even if it's only for a movie," stated an insider of Star magazine.

If the chatter over her disapproving parent is indeed correct, it shouldn't have a bearing on Dakota's Fifty Shades status nonetheless, as the actress has stated in the past that she's wanted to play the part of Ana since she first got wind of the raunchy film.

"I just really understand it. I think it's an incredible love story, and that's why it's affected so many people. Erica [E.L. James] did a really good job of explaining how that just can happen sometimes, and you have this chemical pull to someone. Adding in the sex makes it perfect. Sometimes you feel a little bit naughty, and that's okay," she said.

Fifty Shades of Grey is scheduled to launch in theaters on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2015. Be sure to keep checking back with Enstars for more of the latest information surrounding the respective flick.
