Kordell Stewart's divorce to Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Stewart has been finalized.

His attorney, Shiel Edlin, said the former NFL player was "very disappointed" that his marriage to the reality star did not work out.

"He expected to be married for life," Edlin told TMZ.

Kordell filed a petition for divorce from Porsha on March 22 in Fulton County, Ga., just before what would have been the couple's two-year anniversary on May 21.

The sports commentator is still upset that his ex-wife has been suggesting he is gay.

"For reasons we cannot understand, [Porsha] displayed a reckless abandonment of anything close to the truth over the last eight months," Edlin said. "We are also hopeful that Porsha will stop vilifying Kordell at every opportunity."
