The royal, 29, spent the night with Bonas before heading to the Queen's Sandringham estate to share the holidays with his family.

Prince Harry is rumored to be taking Bonas away on a romantic vacation for a few days before he heads back to work as a helicopter pilot for the Army Air Corps. He recently returned from the South Pole where he went on a group trek for charity.

Given that the new year is just about here and the two still are not engaged, it looks like speculation that Prince Harry would pop the question during the holiday season weren't true, Rumor has it that Prince Harry has asked Bonas's father, Jeffrey, for her hand in marriage.

One source said, "It seems that Harry and Cressida have spoken about marriage, he wanted to do the honorable thing and meet her father to let Jeffrey know his intentions before he went to the South Pole...He wants to ensure they're on-board for when they announce an engagement."

The source revealed Jeffrey gave his blessing to a marriage between the two "when the time is right."
