No one on Supernatural has had an easy go of it during season 9, least of all Castiel.

Following the Fall, Cas (Misha Collins) found himself without his grace, used and discarded by Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) to live the rest of his life as a human. With a blindingly bright target on his back, the powerless angel was forced to run and hide, dodging angel blades at every turn. However, after a bit of cunning and bloodshed, the Winchester's pal managed to obtain another angel's grace during "Holy Terror," slipping into it as if it were his own.
