Miley Cyrus stepped out in Los Angeles for a girls night out with We Can't Stop director and friend Diane Marteloff on Thursday, Jan. 2.

The two visited Hollywood hot spot Warwick late in the evening and a source told E! News, "Miley arrived with one of her friends and they sat in the downstairs living room near one of the fireplaces."

"She danced a lot! She danced to her own song 23 and kept taking selfies," the insider added. "It was amazing!"

Fellow clubgoers were respectful of the 21-year-old and made sure not to ruin her night. The eyewitness said, "Everyone knew who she was and kept staring at her, but no one bothered her which was really nice. She got to have a good time with her friend."

"She was really casual and just had a great time."

Cyrus tweeted after the evening outing, "Best night ever @DianeMarteloff." Marteloff wrote, "@MileyCyrus thank you."

Their fun night came days after the Adore You singer reportedly got cozy with Twilight star Kellan Lutz. The two were seen at the opening of Beacher's Madhouse at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Friday, Dec. 27.

"They were making out and didn't seem to care who was watching," a source said. "It wasn't a secret that they were together."

Although the pair arrived at the Vegas party separately, they left together at 3:30 a.m. and a source told People "at one point, she kissed his ear."

Lutz and Cyrus arrived in Miami on the same private plane in mid-December. At the time, the actor denied dating the former Disney star.
