Chris Brown attempted to turn over a good leaf with ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, but she wasn't having it, according to reports.

A new claim by HollywoodLife.com indicated that Brown sent the Diamonds singer a letter of apology for all the pain he caused her, but she burned it. Despite Brown's public relationship with current girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, he reportedly sent Rihanna a message, "where he said he was sorry and that he would never hurt her."

A source said that Rihanna showed the letter one night while partying with her friends.

"As they smoked, Rihanna pulled out this fake ass letter. She put it in the middle of the bed on top of a big candle-holder, and put her burnt ashes on it. They all started to put ashes on that letter until it burned. Rihanna said, "good riddance," and continued to entertain her guests," the source added.

"She wants to have a happy, stress-free year," another source said. "And she's done with bulls**t from the men in her life. She's over games."

Despite the back-and-forth rumors of Brown and RIhanna, Tran recently spoke with Global Grind and dished how hard it is dealing with the negativity on social media about her relationship with the singer.

"It's kind of hard and it's annoying because these people just say whatever they want," she said. "Just stupid stuff [they say] when it's like, 'you can't even spell my name. I just try my best to ignore it and look on the positive side."

"At the end of the day, they don't know who I am. They're just judging me off their own opinions," Tran added.
