Lindsay Lohan is going from the movie screen to the much smaller TV screen playing herself in a reality show titled Lindsay.

The series will premiere its first episode March 9 at 10 p.m. ET on the OWN network, announced Thursday, Jan. 9. Lohan, who was released from rehab in August, will have cameras following her controversial lifestyle.

The documentary series will follow Lohan on "her journey through recovery following a very public period of crisis," the show's press release stated. "In this honest, no-holds-barred account, viewers will see an intimate, unflinching look into the life of one of the world's most sought-after celebrities. Cameras follow Lindsay as she returns to New York, reunites with friends and family, and attempts to build a new life.

"As she works to stay on track amid the demands (and pitfalls) of fame, she opens up as never before, discussing everything from her emotional recovery process to her exhausting run-ins with the paparazzi."

Lohan delayed filming the show and producers were initially concerned that it would not be completed on scheduled, New York Daily News reported earlier in January.

Head of OWN, Oprah Winfrey, at one point reportedly wanted to call off Lindsay because filming was getting too hectic. However Lohan, a seasoned veteran when it comes to cameras tracing her every move, made sure production continued.

Lohan gave her first interview to Winfrey in August 2013 just days after being discharged from Cliffside Malibu drug and alcohol rehab facility.
