Shia LaBeouf announced that he was retiring late Thursday night via Twitter.

The Evens Stevens star wrote he would be leaving the public life due to his recent public disputes with other celebrities on the social media site, as well as alleged plagiarism charges.

"In light of my recent attacks against my artistic integrity, I am retiring from all public life," he wrote.

"My love goes out to those who have supported me," he added.

The actor was accused of plagiarizing a comic written by Daniel Clowes, leading the actor to hire a sky-writer to issue his apologies. Just today, he posted a picture of yet another sky-written message that says "#STOPCREATING."

The first sky-written message prompted a response from Girls star Lena Dunham, who wrote "I've always felt, utterly and unchangeably, that only sociopaths hire skywriters."

This began one of his feuds, as he responded to the star "I don't mind creating debate with thoroughly considered artistic expressions but I don't want to offend with a tweet. Sorry world,".

He later followed up with "I'm addicted to lean and that s**t ain't a joke. I can barely remember all the things I've done and said. However there's no excuse 4 skywriting."

Dunham then responded with 'Vaguely recognized Shia Labeouf's latest twitter apology and realized it was MINE! Touche, Louis Stevens."

The actor was also called out for plagiarizing a quote by Taylor Swift before linking to an article about his tendencies, and also posted a cease and desist letter from Clowes' attorney, which stated that the actor was "seriously out of control."

"He must stop his improper and outlandish conduct directed at Mr. Clowes and his works, and your client must take all necessary and appropriate steps to redress his wrongs," attorney Michael Kump wrote.
