He's been the voice of older Ted for all nine seasons of the show, and now, Bob Saget may be gearing up to make an actual on-screen appearance before the How I Met Your Mother series finale.

Fans have never seen older Ted, just heard his voiceovers as he tells his children the entire story of how he met their mother. Fans have seen the young Ted of the story (Josh Radnor) as he aged from 2005 to 2014, but they've never seen the 2030 version of Ted who narrates the story (Saget).

A 'Milestone Moment' For Ted and The Mother in Episode, Unpause?

However, they may get to meet this version of Ted after all before the series wraps in March, if a twitter conversation between Radnor and Saget is a hint.

Radnor tweeted Jan. 8, "I've got ten minutes. What do you want to talk about?"

Though several fans tweeted questions to the actor about the show, his personal life and other projects he's working on, the most notable tweet came from the 57-year-old comic and former Full House star.

"@JoshRadnor: I've got ten minutes. What do you want to talk about? How did you turn into me when Ted got older?" he asked.

Radnor then teased that the grown-up Ted could possibly be featured on screen by replying, "@bobsaget Keep watching...".

Though the tweets are no concrete indication that Saget will appear on-screen at some point, the tweets could be a promising potential twist for the finale.

New episodes of How I Met Your Mother return Monday, Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. on CBS, beginning with Slapsgiving 3: Slappointment in Slapmarra.
