It looks like federal prosecutors want to block any possibility of Teresa and Joe Giudice being having separate trials, Radar Online reported Thursday.

As reported recently, the couple was hoping to be have their fraud trials separated so Joe could say Teresa had no idea about any foul play. Well now, the prosecutors are not having it. They have gone as far as submitted a 47-page document stating reasons why their request should be shut down.

A portion of the document reads, "Teresa and [Joe] appear to share the hope that each may have a better chance of acquittal in a separate trial ... This, however, is not sufficient basis to sever two defendants charged as participants in the same conspiracy and fraudulent scheme."

Still, Joe while Joe wants to testify on Teresa's behalf, he doesn't want to implicate himself. The document also implies that Joe cannot be trusted when it comes to taking the stand.

"He has provided false testimony under oath on multiple occasions."

This might be why his lawyers have said that he would not be testifying at all.

As for Teresa, it isn't clear if she will either.

The prosecution team goes on to write that Joe's claim that "Teresa had no knowledge of any misrepresentation on loan applications, mortgage applications, or lines of credit...is an inadmissible opinion regarding her state of mind."

In fact, they do not even think that giving The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple two separate trials will even help Teresa in the end.

Teresa began taping the sixth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey in early December, but her and Joe's trial will not be aired on the show because of the production schedule.
