Despite reportedly making claims that his ex-girlfriend had once engaged in an affair with former President Bill Clinton, actor Tom Sizemore is now retracting his statements.

Radar Online initially reported Feb. 5 that they had uncovered a secret recording where Sizemore admitted he helped set up an encounter between his supermodel ex-girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley and former President Bill Clinton.

In the recording, the Black Hawk Down actor reportedly bragged about setting Hurley and Clinton up back in 1998, and claimed the two kept up with sexual trysts for about a year.

However, Sizemore has now retracted his statements, saying that they shouldn't be trusted because of his known history with drug addiction.

"It's not true. I was never at the White House. I've never met Bill Clinton," Sizemore told The Huffington Post. "I'm not denying that I said these things. I don't remember saying them, but it's an old video tape and they're the rantings of a guy...that had a very severe drug problem. Although I said it, none of it is true."

"I'd like to apologize to her for any hurt or B.S. I caused her or the Clintons or anyone else I may have mentioned," he added. "I was like a drunk saying that I was going to be on the Challenger next week...My perceptions were not the greatest."

When news of the allegations first broke, Hurley took to her Twitter account to slam them.

"Ludicrously silly stories about me & Bill Clinton. Totally untrue. In the hands of my lawyers. Yawn," she wrote.

A statement released by her lawyers said "These allegations are completely false and defamatory. They were also published without any evidence whatsoever. As such, our client is considering legal action against any parties who have published or otherwise repeated the allegations."
