The Walking Dead executive producer Gale Anne Hurd spoke with E! Online recently, revealing that viewers can expect an emotional Daryl in upcoming episodes.

Daryl is also dealing with a pair of tragedies that won't be easy for him to get over.

"He was finally beginning to see the light at the end of a very dark and brutal tunnel, and now that's been ripped apart with the fall of the prison, with the banishment of Carol," she said. "We'll have to see how he copes with those twin tragedies."

Reedus recently spoke with SciFiNow about Daryl about the final eight episodes of season 4. He said that fans should be worried about every character's life on the show, including his. With many main characters being killed off every season, no one is safe.

He also revealed that the final eight episodes are some of the best The Walking Dead has ever done.

"They're really pushing us to the limits, those storylines are so good and so detailed, like full throttle," he said. "They're crazy well done episodes, well acted, well shot and super well written. They're my favorite eight so far, I cant wait for people to see them."

The Walking Dead season 4 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
