Rumors of Ellen DeGeneres splitting from her wife, Portia De Rossi have started to emerge.

A story that made the front page of Star said that the couple might be getting a $220 million divorce due to jealousy, fighting and drinking. The cover also said "Portia storms out after nasty showdown" and that she apparently feels like a prisoner.

An alleged insider had also shared rumors on the talk show host's personality.

"[Ellen's] staff says she's one of the meanest people they've ever encountered...a person who was newly hired was in some meeting with the higher-ups and Ellen," the source allegedly said.

"When Ellen came into the room, everyone was told to sit and not move at all. This is a normal demand for anyone in the presence of Ellen," the source supposedly added.

But according to other reports, the situation of the divorce couldn't be more false. DeGeneres and her wife were actually seen in Los Angeles on Valentine's Day sharing a kiss.

They were walking down Melrose Avenue in jeans and sunglasses, holding hands and smiling.

DeGeneres will be hosting the Oscars for the second time on Sunday, March 2. She and De Rossi got married in August 2008.

DeGeneres's latest skit on her talk show included Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson in which they performed a new hit called "Watching Cats on the Internet." The two performed a rap video with background photos on the set of Wilson and DeGeneres in backwards hats.
