After almost a decade of marriage, super star couple Robin Thicke and Paula Patton have decided to call it quits, revealed in an exclusive statement to People .

Robin Thicke Cheats on Paula Patton?

R&B singer Robin Thicke and actress Paula Patton released a statement to People magazine Feb. 24, making their split public and closing the book on their 9 year relationship.  The statement simply said, "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."

The parents to 4 year old Julian Fuego Thicke met when they were 14 years old, and often spoke of their deep love and passion for each other.

Last year, Thicke sat down for an exclusive interview on OWN with Oprah Winfrey's Next Chapter.  Though they had been through a lot with the Miley Cyrus VMA performance, he said they were in love with each other though they referred to their union as a "functional dysfunctional marriage".  He explained to Winfrey that the term meant, "We're no different than any couple out there, and we have our fights, we have our problems."  He continued, "But somehow, there is this big bang theory that just pulls us close to each other and we are madly in love. Can't quit each other."

So what made the couple finally call it quits?  Maybe it was the various run-ins that Robin had with his fans like the one Enstars reported in Paris last month, humiliating Patton who seemed to stand by him the entire time.

Even when Miley-gate happened, Patton seemed to brush it off her shoulder, telling E!, "It doesn't affect me anymore at all," she revealed.  "Why are people making such a big deal about it? Quite frankly, all my friends dance like that with him. He's like the guy that you can dance with, 'cause he's safe!"

No word on the exact reason behind the split, but Enstars will keep you up to date as details are further revealed.
