Paul Wesley will be doing more than acting on this season of The Vampire Diaries.

The actor, who plays Stefan Salvatore on the show, uploaded two photos on Twitter, revealing that he will also be directing an upcoming episode of the CW show.

In one photo, all that's visible is a huge blue screen and a female standing in front of it.

"Spending my Saturday night directing a blue screen shot," he wrote as the caption.

In the second snapshot, Wesley showed the director's cut board, which revealed that he's directing episode 18 of season 5.

The words "RIP Sailor Sarah" are also written at the top of board in reference to a Vampire Diaries crew member, who was tragically killed.

Sarah Jones was struck by a train while filming Midnight Rider in Georgia on Feb. 20. She was 27.

The Vampire Diaries cast mourned their late crew member via Twitter.

"My heart is heavy-theTVD fam&I lost a very dear sister of ours.An amazing woman,leaving us too soon.Hug your loved ones,hug them so tightly," Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon Salvatore, tweeted on Saturday.

Nina Dobrev, who plays Elena Gilbert, also wrote two touching messages to Jones along with photos on Instagram.

"Our #TVDfamily lost a loved one. Beautiful soul. A dear friend. I miss you Sarah. You will always be a part of us... #SlatesForSarah," she captioned one photo, in which she stood with Wesley.

"Sarah Jones had the most beautiful spirit and a smile that lit up our set for years..." she captioned the second along with a link to a Facebook page dedicated to Jones.
